About Bartender’s Manual
Bartender’s Manual is an easy-to-use database of cocktails designed to help you track your home bar and decide what drinks you want to make.

- A hierarchy of cocktail ingredients that intelligently determines which ingredients can substitute for which.
- Home bar tracking and smart filtering that lets you easily see what drinks you can make with the bottles you’ve got.
- Our secret-sauce smart ingredient suggestions feature that suggests what to add to your home bar to maximize the cocktails you can make.
- Support for rating and commenting on cocktails to share your bartending tips with the community.
- The ability to organize recipes into a cocktail list and track your progress through it.

We don’t currently have a dedicated iOS app for Bartender’s Manual, but this website is mobile-friendly and we’ve tested it extensively on iPhones and iPads. Let us know if you run into any issues!

- webandroid Fixed how “ownership” is determined, to reflect relationships within the ingredient hierarchy. So for example, if a recipe calls for “aged rum” and you have ”aged Cuban rum”, the app will now correctly say that you own a matching ingredient.
- webandroid Redesigned the home page, cocktail recipe page and ingredient page to present more information in a clearer way.
- web Started introducing a responsive design to the web app so it can work better on smaller screens (i.e. mobile devices).
- android Started moving the Android app towards feature parity with the web app, as well as starting to unify the design language between the Android and web apps.
- webandroid Completely rearchitected the backend so now there are smaller queries that return just the information needed for each individual component on each page - so pages should now load a lot faster on both the web and Android interfaces.
- web Added support for affiliate links for cocktail books and for specific bottles.
